I'm going to have to put some thought into this today and get back to you on this one.
In the meantime, maybe you could fill us in on which names you like? :-)
Maybe you should be looking for a name that's suitable for a boy OR a girl. Lol. I'll put my thinking cap on.
Andres, are you and Karen going to name your baby in English, or do you want a nickname in English? i have often wondered how that works here; whether one can give a baby a dual name, but have the English name be "real" if there is also a Chinese name.
carrie... ideally, we'd like to have a girl and a boy, so we'd like to name them Olivia and Oliver. we've been throwing many names around but here's a few that we might actually use...
girl: Neesha, Chloe, Amelia
boy: Tristan, Troy, Brandon
michael... since i have dual citizenship (tw & canada), my kids english names will be "official" and not just nicknames as they will be used in their canadian passports and documents. their chinese names will be used as their middle name in the canadian documents, but as their first name in the taiwanese passport and documents. did that make sense?
using my names as example, my chinese name is Tze-Wei, so in my canadian passport it says Andres Tze-Wei Yu and in my taiwanese passport it says Tze-Wei Yu, then it says Andres Yu in another line that says "Also Known As".
Those are great names Andres. I especially like Chloe and Tristan. In fact, Tristan has always been on my own list of baby names...not that it's going to happen anytime soon! :-)
Since you've asked for suggestions I'll put in my two cents worth.
Girls names: Isabel, Taylor and Savannah
Boys names: Caleb, Noah and Josh
I can't wait to see your new baby pictures!
Andres, i thought that i answered your reply... hmm....
yes your explaination was clear, thanks. i didn't know how that worked
my only advice on names is not to stick the kid with a name that s/he will have to spell throughout their entire life. make it easy.
