i had signed up for facebook a few months ago but then i deleted my account
never really explored it but i thought it was the same as friendster, myspace and hi5; all of which i'm already a member of but rarely use
after getting a shit-load of facebook invites these past couple months, i gave in and signed up again last night
been exploring it most of the day today and it is basically the same as friendster and myspace but i guess with some more applications so it's a bit more fun

i left those social networking sites quite awhile ago. it seemed to me that the people who were there were looking to hook up. also, recent news events (at the time) prompted me to resign from those sites because of reports of sexual predators using them to hunt for potential victims. so i decided that i didn't really need to belong to them. i don't get facebook. i also really don't get myspace. at all.
mj, i really don't use those sites all that much. i mainly use them to see what's going on with my friends back in canada. i don't have everyone's email and for those that i do, it's hard to keep them writing constantly. i'm guilty myself of not writing back all the time.
now, in regards to those social websites... i hear ya man! as you said, these places have become a "meat market" for people to hook up... plus, i'm going into my 30's and about to have a daughter in about 2 months, so it's somewhat disturbing to see young girls post webcam and other pics of themselves in skimpy outfits and posing like they are auditioning for playboy.
