chuwei fishing port

with yesterday being the last day off for the chinese new year holidays before having to go back to work today, we decided to go pray at the chulinshan temple in linkou. unfortunately, it seemed like all of taiwan had the same idea as us because when we arrived, the line up of cars going into the temple parking lot was several blocks long expanding at least a couple km's.

seeing that sight, we gave up on that idea and instead decided to take a drive along the beach just down the mountain from linkou which led us to the chuwei fishing port in the township of dayuan, taoyuan county.

some photos taken with my cell phone.....

as you come down the hills of linkou towards the west coast, you are greeted by the linkou power plant.

before heading home, we wound down the day and relaxed with some coffee at an old ice factory which was turned into a coffee shop.

here's the google maps location.....

Those are pretty good photos considering you took them using your mobile camera :O I love fishing ports as opposed to the beaches as you can see lot of different activities around the port and there are more photo ops.

thanks ashish. i just got an htc diamond phone last month and it takes pretty good photos, which is a good thing especially when i forget to bring my camera. speaking of cameras, i'm still longing for that 450D!

Just checked out HTC Diamond, it looks pretty damn good :) I'm mobloging from my SE w850i at http://ashlinmobile.blogspot.com for fun but the quality of pictures is pathetic. I was hoping to get a new mobile and/or new lens this CNY but having no year end bonus screwed all my plans :P With our baby due soon that plan will have to wait for another year I guess. I didn't have money when I bought 450D so went for a Sweet 6 month 0% deal on PCHome :P guilty pleasures hahaha

ashish, good job with your moblog, but i think you should just post them in your main blog instead of keeping a separate blog.
i hear ya about wanting to save some money because of having a kid. it's really the main reason why i haven't bought the dslr (and many more things or should i say "toys").
