end of an era

flextronics metal tooling taiwan

photo taken yesterday morning of the entire staff on our last day of operations. as you can imagine, the mood was very somber and depressing. our department has been in existence for 10 years and some of us have been there the whole time since the beginning. nevertheless, all of us have been together for many years and we developed a very strong bond and comradery. definitely a family away from family. extremely sad to see it all end but as one door closes, others open so hopefully this is an opportunity for new beginnings.

In addition to Yongpyong Ski Resort I've heard good things about Muji (or something like that) Ski Resort near Seoraksan National Park in Korea and a place called Phoenix Park Ski Resort.

We had a great time.

sure it was cold but she knew it was going to be cold. we especifically went there in the winter instead of the summer just so we can go skiing / snowboarding. we flew halfway across the world to just stay-in? just not right.
