one of the benefits from the company that i work for is an annual personal travel reimbursement of nt$7,200 (appr. us$230). even tho' this week is the last for my business unit before we get shutdown for good, we are still eligible for this benefit as long as we submit all the proper paperwork and receipts before the closure. so, since i haven't applied for mine and not wanting to let this go to waste, we decided to go to taichung last week and stay at the freshfields hot springs resort.
a couple hours into the trip, my digital camera went haywire (note: don't let your toddler play with your electronics!) so didn't take as many photos as i would've liked. i did also have my dv with me, so i was able to take some videos.
when we arrived at the hotel, we decided to walk around the property a little bit before checking-in.....
after checking-in, we go to our room of course.....
after settling in and relaxing for a little while, we took a dip in the hot spring bath right in our room.....
dinner time.....
after dinner, we went to jingming 1st street. i really liked this pedestrians-only area. with its outdoors coffee shops, live music and artsy feel, it had a really good mood and atmosphere to it.....
the next day, we drove around taichung sightseeing various places including the matsu temple in dajia.....
here's the google maps location for freshfields hot spring resort.....
