from the marine park, we set off to tainan where we were going to spend the night.
after checking-in to our hotel and taking a rest, we went to the flowers night market; allegedly the largest night market in taiwan.
it was definitely huge! personally, i don't think it was worth it as it was super packed and the food selection was repetitive. hundreds of stands selling the same things over and over again. as you can imagine, we did not spend too much time here and just went back to the hotel in a hurry for some much needed sleep anyways, since i had been awake almost 24 hours at that point.
the next morning, we went to fort provintia (chih-kan lou).
an artist doing some hand drawings and carvings in the garden.
the fertility rock. trying unsuccessfully to conceive? rub it now!
garden and main entrance to the fort.
model of the original fort.
olivia looking at the god of education.
a message board sitting in the corner across from the god of education. in hopes of finding success in their education, people have pinned anything related to that from student id cards to school registration forms to report cards. i'd bet most of these were placed here by parents and not the students themselves.
brick-layered road outside the fort.
next stop: fort zeelandia (fort anping).....
