Olivia's school, the Karl Witte Montessori School (Kindie & Pre-School), held their 2010 graduation ceremonies this past July. Although Olivia wasn't graduating, she still had to go to do a performance with her class. The reason for that is because they got all the kids from the school doing all these different performances.
The school rented the theatre at the Taipei County Labor Activity Center for the event.
Wall montage of coloring artworks by all the students. Olivia didn't want to color hers so she didn't get anything posted on the wall. I guess she just wasn't interested in coloring that picture of those two graduation dolls. If that had been Dora or any of the Disney characters, she would have been all over it.
Personalized yearbook for all the graduating kids. These were really nice!
We got there pretty early so Olivia had to sit in the students section alone as she waited for the other students to arrive. Check out her kung-fu outfit! Her class was tagged to perform a Mulan rendition.
The audience is starting to gather as family & parents anxiously and excitingly await their kids' performance.
Let's get the show started. Here's the youngest class doing some kind of a German / Dutch sing and dance.
The 4 Thieves, instead of the 40 Thieves.
An Arabian dance routine followed by the appearance of a Genie.
A cabaret-like show. It might have been depicting Moulin Rouge. Not sure.
That was followed by the appearance of a mermaid. It's probably all looking confusing and as if nothing goes together. Trust me, there was some sort of a theme here; albeit a bit disorganized. It did all come together pretty nicely though I guess considering the number of kids involved and how young some of them were. It was basically all these characters and stories from different books pertaining to the school library coming to life.
Here comes Olivia and her class (mixed age groups) ready to rock the stage.

The video of their performance.
Balloon fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, your Karl Witte Montessori School Graduating Class of 2010.
Getting their graduation diplomas from the principal.
Lots of proud parents that night.
All the kids along with the teachers got up on stage and dedicated a final song and dance to the graduating class. This would be the last time all the graduating kid would be together as they all move on to different elementary schools.
Olivia was having a lot of fun!
Yup!
Here's the final song & dance dedicated to the graduating class

it's a good idea to get everyone on board lol or else it is hard to imagine parents going to such events after 11~12 hrs work weedkdays and every other working saturday here
Ashish... yup. if olivia wasn't performing, we wouldn't have gone and i'm sure the rest of the non-graduating parents feels the same. still, it was great seeing olivia perform on stage. even tho' she wasn't graduating, we still felt very proud and a huge joy seeing her perform on stage. it's a real surreal feeling seeing that then realizing that just months ago, she was just learning to talk and walk!
