well, keeping up with the birhtdays it was time to celebrate karen's. in her true low-key self, she didn't want anything fancy or big celebration so she just opted for a nice little family at tgi friday's.
free balloon for olivia.
typical tgi fridays funky decor.
what's dinner without marilyn staring at you?

celebrating great-grandma's (my mom's mom) 85th birthday.....
the star of the day. still got a great sense of humour and real joy to be around. she's actually pretty tipsy in these pictures as she was drinking it up (against everyone's wishes of course but since it was her birthday, we let her run free with the bottle).

olivia's kindergarten recently organized a "family day" festival as a way for parents to interact with the school, its teachers and get to know the other students and their parents. but really, i think the main purpose of the whole event was a way to recruit new students since the semester was coming to an end soon. anyway, there's nothing with that. they need to do what they need to do to stay in business. the kids had fun and enjoyed themselves with all the games and food so it's all good.....
olivia showing off her new watch which we bought at the flea market the school had setup at one of the classrooms.
even tho' my nephew ethan doesn't go to this school, we brought him along. he enjoyed all the games the school had setup.
waiting his turn again to play the game.
ethan wanted to play a couple more times but olivia got bored with that game, so she just stood there watching and waiting for ethan to be done.
ethan all done came to grab olivia's hand and ready to go play the next game.
throwing hoops into the balloon sword which karen is holding. olivia is kinda cheating here as she's supposed to be behind the white lines. hey, give her a break. she's only 2 years old! her hoop throwing skills are not quite there yet.
sleepy face olivia since it was approaching her afternoon nap time, so with that it was time to go home.
