We woke up early, ate our breakfast at the hotel and then made our way to the Farglory Ocean Park.
This is a shot I took from the shuttle bus as we made our way down the hill from the hotel to the park. As you can see, the park is situated at the bottom of the mountain nestled right between the ocean and the hills.
This is a shot I took from the third floor just outside the park's main entrance. The skyline in the distance is "downtown" Hualien and the high mountains further out above the clouds are part of Taiwan's central mountain range that cover most of the island.
Vacation photos wouldn't be complete without some peace / victory / yeah hand signs.
Posing with statues of the park's mascots.
The park's "main street" which was lined with shops.
Catch of the day.
"Fishy! Fishy! Fishy!"
We rode the cable car to the top.
Inside the cable car.
At the top, there was a castle and a bunch of rides for the kids.
The dolphin show, which was really boring. The show at the Yehliu Ocean World was A LOT better.
A parade the park puts on just before closing its doors.
And just like that, it all ended.
As the parade ended, overcast clouds started moving in with a light drizzle so it was time to go.
All in all, it was a great weekend trip. The hotel was really nice (especially the swimming pool) and Olivia had a lot of fun at the theme park. Definitely recommended it for anyone in Taiwan if you have kids. Make sure to take the train tho'. Driving there would just be too tiring.
